U.S. Hotels Set New Records in 2013

Jan Freitag, senior VP of strategic development at STR, said the U.S. hotel industry broke several records in 2013. For the full year, the U.S. industry had the highest:
• number of rooms available ($1.7 billion);
• number of rooms sold ($1.1 billion);
• ADR ($110); and
• RevPAR ($69)
No ADR decreases were reported for the year in any submarket.
